Henderson man drowns in Lake Havasu

A Henderson resident apparently drowned after a Saturday leap from Jump Rock at Copper Canyon on Lake Havasu in California.

Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Vessells in San Bernardino County, Calif., said Joshua Lafollette, 28, did not surface after plunging into the water at the boating and diving hot spot about 4:25 p.m.

Vessels said a nearby scuba diver was able to retrieve Lafollette from below the surface minutes after the incident. Resuscitation efforts failed and Lafollette was pronounced dead at Havasu Regional Medical Center.
