Police seek suspect in fatal stabbing
Police are searching for a 40-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing another man Monday night near Charleston Boulevard and Pecos Road.
Las Vegas police are looking for Johnny Brambila, who is suspected of killing 48-year-old Robert Neal Johnson after the two got into a fight around 9 p.m. at 1286 S. Mojave Road.
Police said Johnson was stabbed in the chest and died shortly after being taken to University Medical Center.
Brambila is known to hang out around Charleston and Pecos and rides a bicycle, police said.
Anyone with information about the stabbing or Brambila's whereabouts can call the Las Vegas police's homicide unit at 828-3521.

Fire causes $100,000 in apartment damage
A fire that broke out at an apartment in Henderson after a cigarette wasn't properly put out caused about $100,000 in damage early Tuesday.
The Henderson Fire Department went to the two-story apartment at 2763 Carnation Lane, near Pecos Road and Eastern Avenue, about 1:15 a.m.
Firefighters saw smoke and fire coming from a second-story unit and put out the fire within 15 minutes, the Fire Department stated.
No injuries were reported, and the fire damaged only one unit.

Motorcyclist killed on Route 66 identified
An Alaska woman who was killed in a traffic accident on Historic Route 66 about 12 miles east of Kingman, Ariz., on Monday was identified as Kimberly Burshek, 43.
Burshek, of Anchorage, dumped a rented Harley Davidson motorcycle while trying to avoid colliding with another eastbound vehicle that slowed in front of her to turn off the highway, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Burshek was not wearing a helmet and suffered fatal head injuries, the agency reported.
