A teenager faces one count of murder in the shooting death of his brother, according to a Las Vegas police arrest report released Wednesday
Turner Bronson, 16, was arrested by Las Vegas police last week after he got into what eventually became a deadly fight with his older brother, 18-year-old Clayton, police said.
The brothers’ mother heard the two fighting from her bedroom before she heard a gunshot and rushed out and to find Clayton bleeding from his stomach. Clayton told his mother that Turner had shot him, the report said.
The mother told police she ran to call 911 and went downstairs to where her wounded son had gone. While she stood with Clayton, she saw Turner walk downstairs until he was only 3 feet away, aim a black revolver at Clayton’s head and fire a single shot, the report said. Then he put the gun behind couch pillows and walked around the house while she called 911.
Turner gave vague answers to questions asked by detectives, the report said, and would smile and chuckle at “inappropriate times.”
The mother told police there had been tension between the brothers because “Clayton kept telling Turner to get his life together” and Turner was slated to attend a wilderness camp, but hadn’t been told about it yet.
