Pedestrian hit by car last week on Harmon Avenue dies from injuries

A pedestrian struck by a vehicle while he was crossing a Las Vegas street outside of a marked crosswalk last week has died from injuries sustained in the accident, police said.

The 51-year-old Las Vegas resident, William Mullins, was crossing Harmon Avenue, west of Paradise Road, outside of a marked crosswalk about 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 18 when he was struck by a Ford Fusion was heading westbound.

Mullins was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical injuries and died from his injuries Thursday.

The driver, who was uninjured, remained at the scene of the crash and was not charged, according to police.

Metro said Mullins’ death was the 68th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas in 2016.
