M Resort to hire another 250 workers due to strong business

The 5-day-old M Resort said today it needs to hire another 250 workers because of strong business trends during its first week of operation.

The $1 billion hotel-casino, which has 390 rooms and nine restaurants, opened Sunday night at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Pakway with 1,800 workers.

According to casino officials, the resort has been twice as busy as projected.

“The M has received an overwhelming response from the market,” M Resort CEO Anthony Marnell, III said in a statement. “Our team members have done a phenomenal job and are working extremely hard to meet the needs of our guests.”
