A 26-year-old Logandale man died after crashing a BMW into a cement barrier in the far northwest valley Saturday evening.
The man, identified as Nathaniel Allen, was driving a 750Li sedan at a high rate of speed on northbound on Hualapai Way toward the intersection of Grand Teton Drive, according to Las Vegas police.
Hualapai ends at Grand Teton. For reasons unknown, he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and struck a cement barrier on the north side of the road.
The car became airborne, struck a large dirt berm and vaulted into the desert, police said. It came to rest on its passenger side.
Allen was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The collision was the 75th fatal accident in the department’s jurisdiction this year.
