Man dies after injury during Hard Rock Hotel pool party

An Oregon man died Sunday after an injury in the swimming pool of the Hard Rock Hotel.

Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin said Matthew Williams, 27, of Happy Valley, suffered a head injury while swimming at the hotel's Rehab pool party about 5:45 p.m.

County firefighters responded to the emergency call.

Williams was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause and manner of Williams' death has not been determined.
