BALTIMORE — Maryland prosecutors on Tuesday rested their case against a Baltimore police officer charged in the April death of a black man, Freddie Gray, from an spinal injury in police custody.

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams told jurors that they were finished for the day. Defense lawyers for Officer William Porter will present their evidence and witnesses in the case.
