Doors will open at 3 p.m. for the event inside the center, which has a seating capacity of 10,000.

The campaign at 3 p.m. today will begin distributing free tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a limit of one ticket per person.

Distribution locations will be at Obama campaign offices in Las Vegas:

■ 6030 W. Windmill Lane, Suite D

Also, tickets can be picked up at an Obama campaign office in Henderson at 1720 Horizon Ridge Parkway, No. 120.

Obama's "grass-roots" campaign rally in Las Vegas will come a day after GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney visits Reno on Tuesday to speak at the annual National Guard convention.

Nevada is a key battleground in the close presidential race, one of eight states that could determine the Nov. 6 election.
