Outdoor parties go from day to night at Strip pools

The hot weather is here and in Las Vegas that means the party goes outdoors -- from day into night. The Strip has become famous for its adult-only pool life that features exposed flesh, drink service, exclusive cabanas to rent, pulsing music and appearances by celebrity hosts. Here are some of the coolest pools in town.

XS at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas

XS, the nightclub within Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, combines the alluring elements of day-life parties with the energy of the nightlife scene. Guests are invited to take a dip in the pool and dance under the stars at Night Swim, the Sunday after-dark soiree. A grand opening celebration will be held Sunday with the return of electronic sensation Deadmau5. The outside patio boasts 26 poolside cabanas sprawling over two stories and offering guests a panoramic view of the party scene. Each cabana comes equipped with a television, fully stocked refrigerator, safe, overhead fan, misting system and plush seating.

With a grand opening on New Year's Eve, the Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan became one of the most spectacular new spaces in Las Vegas. Now the Marquee has debuted the Dayclub, featuring cabanas with individual infinity pools and a multitude of three-story bungalow lofts, complete with a cabana, living quarters and a party deck on top. Marquee has secured international house music DJs as residents.

Wet RepubLic at MGM Grand

Wet Republic evokes a sensuous South Beach ambience with a seductively modern vibe. It features two saltwater pools, eight individual pools and spas, VIP bungalows, party cabanas, daybeds and oversized chaise lounges. Guests can lounge by the pool with a cocktail or mix, mingle and dance in the 2,500-square-foot lounge as DJs rock the turntables with the hottest beats. Celebrities and entertainers headline weekly and monthly events, transforming the 4,100-square-foot sun deck into a stage.

Tao Beach at the Venetian

Tao Beach features all of the attention to detail, service and décor that have made Tao Las Vegas the place to see and be seen for the jet set and celebrities. Seven cabanas offer plasma screen TV, Xbox 360 DVD player and full game library, Internet access, private safe/storage, stocked minifridge, chilled towels, complimentary sandals and preprogrammed iPod rentals. In addition to the cabanas, Tao Beach offers an array of day beds , oversized chaise lounges spread throughout and plenty of bar-seating areas.

Nikki Beach at the Tropicana

Nikki Beach Club opens Thursday at Tropicana. It will feature furniture made of natural woods from Vietnam, organic textiles, free-flowing white linen curtains, plush champagne beds and signature tepee cabanas. Nikki Beach will have a restaurant, outdoor cafe and bar, swim-up blackjack, sand volleyball courts and a private island in the center of the pool. The beach club will also include an outdoor concert space where Tropicana will provide entertainment, including some of the hottest musicians from around the globe.

PALMS POOL

The outdoor playground features two acres of swimming pools. Up to 3,000 guests can party in style, enjoying live concerts, DJs, Ditch Fridays and three bars: The Glass Bar, located under an elevated, glass-bottomed deck pool; The Waterfall Bar, hidden behind a cascading, 12-foot waterfall; The Entry Bar, greeting guests as they enter the pool. Twenty-seven cabanas let guests cool off in the shade. Each one features a TV, speakers with individual volume control, house phone, fan, refrigerator, safe and luxurious furniture. For those who don't want to leave when the party's over, they can stay in one of three two-story, poolside bungalows. Each one features two outdoor decks -- one per floor with a Jacuzzi on the ground floor; upstairs, you'll find comfortable king beds with direct views of the stage.

Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel

The Hard Rock Hotel invented the ultimate pool party with Rehab Sunday. This exclusive daytime "recovery" session offers therapy in the form of palm-shaded sandy beaches, blue water, Rock Star lemonades, world famous DJs, celebrity guests and some of the most beautiful bodies Las Vegas has to offer. There's also blackjack at the swim-up Palapa Bar in the center of Hard Rock's watery playground.

Liquid Pool Lounge at aria

Liquid Pool Lounge by The Light Group is an adults-only experience at Aria. A state-of-the-art sound system and world-class DJs set a lively mood as guests enjoy the exclusivity and seclusion provided by towering palms. Two VIP pools create a cool oasis from the hot sun. The 50-seat Liquid restaurant offers pool-side dining. Eight private cabanas are each equipped with a flat-screen TV and minifridge.
