Pedestrian killed in crash near Sunrise Hospital

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in front of Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center Tuesday night, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded to the crash near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road about 8:30 p.m., according to Lt. Mark Reddon.

The pedestrian died at the scene, Reddon said.

Police shut down northbound Maryland Parkway from Desert Inn Road to about Vegas Valley Drive while the fatal detail investigate the crash.
