Police: Reno cab driver fatally stabs fare

Reno police say a cabdriver fatally stabbed a fare accused of defrauding him, and they're searching for another rider who was dropped off shortly before the stabbing.

Police said that as officers responded late Friday night to the Wonder Lodge on a report of defrauding a cabdriver, a fight occurred between the driver and rider.

The fare was stabbed on the neck and died a short time later, while the cabdriver waited for police to arrive.

Their names and the driver's company were not immediately released.

Police said while no charges are being filed at this time, an investigation into the incident is continuing.
