Rain, snow on its way to Southern Nevada
This weekend could get a soggy start as a wet weather system moves into Southern Nevada in the early evening, meteorologists said this afternoon.
Rain is expected to fall around 8 p.m. tonight through Saturday morning, and more snow is expected to fall in the local mountains down to about 4,000 feet, according to the National Weather Service.
But make way for mild conditions for the rest of the weekend. The weather system, which is coming up from Southern California, will clear out later Saturday when mostly sunny and temperatures in the 50s will hold steady through Sunday.
Another band of showers is expected in the Las Vegas Valley on Monday.
