Sesquicentennial license plates go on sale this month
CARSON CITY — Gov. Brian Sandoval on Monday announced that the 150th anniversary license plates will be available at metropolitan Department of Motor Vehicles offices July 29.
The plates will be available at rural offices beginning July 31.
Sandoval also announced that beginning Tuesday, DMV offices will begin accepting orders for personalized 150th license plates.
“The 150th license plate is an important part of recognizing our state’s 150th anniversary,” Sandoval said. “The proceeds from the plate will go towards supporting the year-long celebration and I am thrilled that at the end of this month, motorists will be able to show their support for our great state.”
Nevada’s celebration of its sesquicentennial will begin this year on Nevada Day, Oct. 31. Nevada will turn 150 on Oct. 31, 2014.
