Texas fugitive wanted in fatal shooting arrested in Las Vegas
A law enforcement task force arrested a fugitive in Las Vegas Tuesday who is a suspect in a fatal shooting in Dallas, the U.S. Marshals said.
The U.S. Marshals said 26-year-old Kevin Jermaine Davis was booked into the Clark County Detention Center after he was arrested by the Nevada Fugitive Investigative Strike Team, or FIST. The task force worked with Las Vegas and North Las Vegas police to make the arrest on the 3800 block of East Gowan Road.
Davis is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. He was wanted for an Oct. 24 incident in which authorities said he shot a man at close range in Dallas.
The U.S. Marshals said Davis was arrested within eight hours of authorities being tipped off that he was in the Las Vegas area.
