Playboy model could be charged for body-shaming Snapchat photo
LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles city attorney says police have given him the case of a Playboy model who took a photo of a naked woman in a gym locker room and posted it to social media with insulting comments about the woman’s body.
City Attorney Mike Feuer said Monday that his office expects to make a final decision soon on whether to file charges against Dani Mathers.
Feuer tells ABC News the case was handed over after police investigators finally were able to find the woman Mathers mocked.
The 29-year-old Mathers faced widespread criticism after she shared the photo on Snapchat in July with the caption: “If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either.” She later apologized and deleted her social media accounts.
The gym, LA Fitness, reported the posting to police and has revoked Mathers’ membership.
