Arizona woman charged with killing her 3 sons, youngest 2 months

PHOENIX, Ariz. — An Arizona woman has been formally charged with murder in the stabbing deaths earlier this month of her three young sons.

The indictment released Tuesday charges Octavia Rogers with first-degree murder in the deaths of 8-year-old Jaikare Rahaman, 5-year-old Jeremiah Adams and 2-month-old Avery Robinson.

Rogers had previously been booked on suspicion of murder and has been jailed since her arrest.

She’s scheduled to be arraigned Monday. It’s unclear if Rogers has an attorney yet.

The boys’ bodies were discovered on June 2 after Rogers’ brother came home from work to find her talking about God and saying she found the answer to life.

Police say Rogers had self-inflicted cuts to her abdomen and neck.

Investigators later found the boys dead in a closet, with the baby inside a suitcase.
