Two commission hopefuls to speak

Two candidates vying for the seat that Clark County Commissioner Rory Reid is vacating will speak today at Texas Station in North Las Vegas.

Democratic candidate Mary Beth Scow and Republican Douglas Bell will present their views and answer questions at the casino's ballroom at noon.

Scow served three terms on the Clark County School Board. Bell is a former county housing official.

Associated General Contractors and the Framing Contractors Association are hosting the forum, which is open to the public. Nonmembers must pay $40 for the luncheon.
