Those who want to vote in the primary election have until Saturday to register at locations other than the Clark County elections offices.
After Saturday, they must go to one of the two elections offices to register by the July 22 deadline.
“The primary election is a very important election and residents cannot participate unless they are registered,” Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said in a statement.
The county is offering voter registration drives at four area malls from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Voter applications will be taken at: the Las Vegas Outlet Center, 7400 Las Vegas Blvd. South; the Boulevard Mall, 3528 S. Maryland Parkway; the Galleria Mall, 1300 W. Sunset Road, Henderson; and the Meadows Mall, 4300 Meadows Lane.
Also on Saturday, the two elections offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. One office is at the Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. The other is at 965 Trade Drive, Suite A, North Las Vegas.
Elections offices will have extended hours through July 22. Those are: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., July 13; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., July 14-17; and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., July 18-22.
Residents can obtain voter registration forms at libraries, banks, or post offices, and mail them in. The forms must be completed by Saturday to be eligible for the Aug. 12 primary election.
People who want to check if they are registered to vote can do so on the Election Department Web site at www.accessclarkcounty.com/elections.
People without access to the Internet can call 455-VOTE.
