Woman dies after jumping from van on Highway 95
A woman who jumped out of a medical van Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 95 died from injuries she sustained in the incident, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Thursday.
The woman's identity was not released. She died Wednesday night at University Medical Center, NHP trooper Joseph Fackrell said.
Fackrell said the incident occurred about 4:25 p.m. on the northbound highway near Ann Road.
He said for an unknown reason, the woman jumped out the medical van and hit her head on the pavement.
The incident is under investigation.
