Let’s celebrate a ‘stimulus’ that helps no one

To the editor:

Yahoo! The stimulus bill is settled! Thank God RINO Sens. Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and Arlen Specter shaved a hundred billion dollars off. Now it’ll work.

I mean, ACORN should receive money. There was no voter fraud in Illinois, Texas and Nevada. Everybody knows the government spends money wisely.

After all, it had to be passed or we’d all be in the worst depression since the ’30s. Of course it’ll only cost about $300,000 per new job, but hey, it’s the Democrats. They love everybody.

Who cares that most of the spending is back-loaded to 2010 and 2011. I mean, who’d want lower taxes and no government intervention?

I can’t wait to spend my newfound wealth. Oh, wait. Nothing in the bill helps me.

So long, GOP

To the editor:

Democrats must be chortling with glee as they watch Republicans committing political suicide on The Chosen One’s sword.

Any Republicans talking about how the Democratic policies of forcing banks to give unsecurable loans led to the current economic crisis (which was blamed on Republicans)? Nope.

Did any Republicans stand in opposition to the tax-dodger nominee for treasury secretary and the House leader of the tax committee who can’t pay his taxes correctly? Nada.

How about Republican opposition to the current influx of lobbyists who The Annointed One is picking for his administration? Absolute silence.

Rod Blagojevich, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Bill Richardson? Give ’em a pass.

Goodbye Republican Party — and good riddance. Maybe they’ll be replaced by a group of moral intellectuals who stand for freedom and liberty. Hello, Ron Paul and Bob Barr.

But they won’t stand a chance anyway. With the current crop of amoralist boneheads who dominate today’s youth culture, there won’t be any room for reason and capitalism. Only party time with The Messiah — and subsidized tuition.

Too much, too late

To the editor:

I believe that it was Joseph Stalin who threatened to force the United States to spend itself to death. He failed.

However, it sure looks as if Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Hussein Obama will succeed.

Pork to be delivered in a few years will not provide stimulation now.
