Your Sept. 27 editorial, “Voter ID measure just plain old common sense,” gave me a chuckle. Common sense and government are at two different ends of the spectrum.

It should be a last resort.
A president needs to have leadership qualities that include integrity, courage, empathy and vision.
If Ms. Harris did not perceive Mr. Biden’s own instability, how can she now publicly accuse Mr. Trump of something she claimed not to recognize in Mr. Biden?
There’s a good bet the tickets will never be paid and no lesson will be learned.
Gun control, children’s safety should be the most important issues.
I cannot understand, then, why we allow the Nevada secretary of state’s office to publish daily vote totals broken down by party.
I don’t believe she has malicious intentions, but at the very least she’s been thoughtless when considering the ramifications of how the overwhelming majority of her votes affect the very people who elected her.
