LETTER: No leniency for shoplifters in Nevada

I read your Nov. 2 editorial regarding shoplifting. Lawmakers should make all shoplifting a chargeable offense, and the perpetrator should face appropriate punishment. Not charging anyone makes these individuals feel they can get away with more serious crimes. Additionally, it is a cost that every law-abiding individual pays for in increased prices.
