Why did Nevada Athletic Commission assign Adalaide Byrd to Alvarez-Golovkin fight?

The Nevada Athletic Commission’s executive director Bob Bennett said about Adalaide Byrd’s ridiculous scorecard in the Alvarez-Golovkin fight, “She’s an outstanding judge who had one bad night.” What a crock (“Fight judge to be judged,” Tuesday Review-Journal).

Bob Arum requested a long time ago that Ms. Byrd not be allowed to judge fights he promoted. She has had many bad nights. The sportswriters have known this for some time.

People bet real money, and they deserve honest and competent judges. It’s absurd that Mr. Bennett had the nerve to select Ms. Byrd to judge a major fight. It reminds me of an old saying: Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.
