Like many of us, Michael Towns once struggled to lose weight due to inconsistent dieting and overeating, and that struggle came with a series of health complications.
“I battled high blood pressure, shortness of breath, fatigue and a feeling of constant swelling. At my lowest point, I couldn’t even look in the mirror because I didn’t recognize or like the person staring back at me,” he says of that time in his life. “Despite trying to work out and eat healthier, my weight would fluctuate, and my lack of results left me feeling discouraged and defeated.”
Determined to make a lasting change and improve his quality of life, Towns did some research on weight-loss surgery. His search eventually led him to the Surgical Weight Control Center of Las Vegas.
“After completing the necessary classes, I decided to undergo gastric sleeve bariatric surgery—not as a replacement for diet and exercise, but as a catalyst for a transformative lifestyle shift,” Towns says.
With the help of the Surgical Weight Control Center, Towns was able to shed his unwanted pounds – and keep them off for good. He’s now living his life to the fullest as his healthiest and most confident self.
“Post-surgery, the reduced portion size, combined with a consistent diet and exercise routine, has helped me not only lose weight but maintain it,” he says. “Today, I’m finally able to feel confident in my own skin and I’m truly happy with the person I see in the mirror.”
The Surgical Weight Control Center is deeply grateful to have been a part of Towns’ weight-loss journey, and we wish him all the good health and happiness in the world.
