Secrets for selecting hard-working spring beauty products

(BPT) - Spring is the perfect time for women everywhere to “plus up” their beauty routine with the most effective, hard-working products – especially when it comes to skincare. While beauty aficionados may be lured by fad-driven skincare products, it’s often the “classics” that work the hardest and are the most efficacious.

Connie Britton, Emmy and Golden Globe(R) Award-nominated star of the TV series “Nashville,” shares her tips for strategically selecting beauty products that deliver multiple benefits.

*Connie’s beauty cabinet secret: “I am a working mom, so I like to choose beauty products that work as hard as I do. I personally choose skincare classics that offer multiple benefits” says Britton. “That’s why I’m such a fan of POND’S. Each of their products does what it says, plus delivers extra benefits.”

*Morning and evening skincare rituals: Even on busy mornings, Britton takes the time to maintain her healthy skin. “I start my day with POND’S Wet Cleansing Towelettes. They remove impurities and any last traces of makeup, but then go a step further by instantly hydrating my skin like a leave-on moisturizer.” Come evening, Britton turns to the brand’s iconic and unique Cold Cream Cleanser to dissolve all traces of her makeup plus moisturize her skin. POND’S Cold Cream Cleanser actually has 50 percent moisturizer, so it cleans while providing very soft, radiant skin.

*Instantly-beautified cheeks and lips: Britton confesses her schedule is jam-packed – she’s frequently running from a production set to a personal appointment. A multi-use color stick works hard for Britton by delivering both rosy cheeks and a painted pout. “In the spring, I look for a multi-use color stick in a bronze hue to create a beachy look.  These multi-use color sticks can be found at department stores or drugstore beauty counters – they’re a lifesaver!” explains Britton.

*Easy on the eyes: Whether it’s a fresh day look or a dramatic smoky eye for the red carpet, Britton often has to create multiple eye makeup looks within the course of a day.  Instead of fussing with multiple eyeliners and shadows, Britton reaches for a blendable eyeliner that can pull double-duty. “You can swipe in a flash, give a quick smudge at the corner of your eyes, and you instantly have definition and sultry color.”
