(BPT) – The average American spends about five hours per day watching television, and this year more than two-thirds will do so through streaming. As you weigh which streaming option works best for your budget and needs, the EPA suggests you consider two more important factors: energy efficiency and the environment. That’s because as TVs get bigger and set top boxes and new game consoles demand more energy, binge-watching “Friends” now has the potential to suck energy as well as time.
