Sacramento scored on sacrifice flies by Anthony Recker in the fourth and 11th innings to gain a 2-1 victory over the 51s in the Pacific Coast League on Thursday at West Sacramento, Calif.
Three Las Vegas pitchers combined on a three-hitter, with Chad Cordero (0-1) taking the loss. He hit Steve Tolleson to start the 11th and allowed a one-out single by Matt Carson before Recker’s sacrifice fly to center field.
Brad Mills went seven innings for the 51s (5-3), allowing only Josh Horton’s one-out single in the third. He struck out three and walked three.
The RiverCats scored in the fourth without a hit, getting two walks, a Mills wild pitch and Recker’s sacrifice fly to center.
The 51s tied it in the seventh when Ryan Shealy’s one-out single scored Chris Woodward.
Brett Lawrie and Adam Loewen each had three of Las Vegas’ 10 hits.
