51s’ pitching, power pave way to win

Delwyn Young had a triple and two doubles to pace the 51s' parade of extra-base hits Friday night in their 12-0 Pacific Coast League win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Las Vegas (68-66), which has won four of its last five games, had 10 extra-base hits en route to outhitting the Sky Sox 16-4. The 51s' first six hits, tallied in the first three innings, were doubles, and eight of their first nine hits went for extra bases.
Blake DeWitt had a triple and a double, Chin-lung Hu went 3-for-4 with a double, and both drove in two runs. A.J. Ellis had two doubles, and Angel Chavez went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
51s starter Jerome Williams (1-2) shut out Colorado Springs (66-66) on two hits and one walk in five innings. Relievers James McDonald and Justin Orenduff each allowed one hit and no walks in two innings.
Greg Reynolds (1-3) allowed six runs, five earned, in three innings for the Sky Sox.
