51s silenced in 3-2 PCL loss at Sacramento

Robert Coello allowed two runs on three hits in six innings as the Sacramento River Cats claimed a 3-2 Pacific Coast League victory over the 51s on Tuesday night in West Sacramento, Calif.

After Las Vegas put the first three batters of the game on base, Coello settled down.

Johnny Monell hit a sacrifice fly to open the scoring, then the River Cats got out of a jam on a fly ball double play, as Eric Campbell was caught off second base.

Coello struck out five and walked one for the River Cats.

Sacramento (4-2) took the lead for good in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly by Adam Duvall and an RBI groundout from Ronny Cedeno.

After the River Cats scored a run in the fourth, Darrell Ceciliani hit a solo home run in the fifth for Las Vegas (3-3).

Steven Matz allowed five hits and five walks in five innings for the 51s, surrendering all three runs. He allowed one run on three hits in his Triple-A debut on Thursday.

The series continues at noon today.
