A’s Las Vegas ballpark experience center offers glimpse into future — PHOTOS

The Athletics unveiled an interactive space Tuesday that gives fans a glimpse into the future of the Major League Baseball team’s under-construction $2 billion Las Vegas ballpark.

The A’s ballpark experience center in the Uncommons’ mixed-use development in the southwest Las Vegas Valley includes a ballpark model, interactive displays and premium seating concepts. It highlights design features and provides a sneak peek at what will be included in the 33,000-fan-capacity MLB stadium when it opens on the Strip in 2028.

The cube

The centerpiece of the space is the Immersive Cube, which allows a fan to virtually step inside the A’s ballpark and get a firsthand glimpse at different spaces and take a look at what surrounds the stadium. The space is composed of 270 degrees of LED screens on the walls, floor and ceiling, featuring 26.5 million pixels. The 3,500-cubic-foot space can fit up to 12 people at a time.

“I don’t think that it’s ever been the case that you could see in a space so large, as opposed to looking at it on a small computer screen, what the image will look like,” A’s owner John Fisher said. “What the window looking into Bally’s and MGM and New York-New York, what that will all be. Seeing what the club spaces are going to be and the suites. We can continue to improve the programming in the cube, so the people will be able to get the views from a lot of different things.”

Including the cube in the team’s experience center, which is also the A’s season ticket sales center, gives a great representation of what the ballpark will feel like once open and games are occurring, Fisher said.

Ballpark model

The scale model of the ballpark on display includes a removable roof and gives fans a better sense of the different seating levels and the location of some of the several club and suites spaces.

“Las Vegas has a higher expectation than some other markets, so you want to make sure that the building has the right blend of premium experience and an experience that provides people access that they might not get somewhere else,” A’s President Marc Badain said. “The Barrel Room, the bullpen area out in left field and some of the club spaces, the access, the proximity to the field that we’re providing the patrons are better than any other ballpark in the league and probably one of the best experiences in all of professional sports.”

The Barrel Room club space and bullpen spectator areas in the outfield will give fans views right up against the fence of the outfield, Badain added.

“Watch the action on the field through a see-through wall and then also have activity behind them, either for a food and beverage and dining experience or to watch the pitchers warm up in the bullpens.”

The model has over 30,000 figures representing fans, with each one hand painted and placed in the model.

A’s history

There is A’s memorabilia throughout, including World Series championship trophies and an interactive area that features a club history section where fans can grab one of several bats off the wall, each featuring a historic moment that plays on a screen after a person taps the bat on home plate.

“By pushing the bat on home plate, you can see Denzel Clarke’s catch or Nick Kurtz four home runs all last season,” Fisher said. “But you can also see replays of the ’72, ’73, ’74 World Series.”

Bridging gap

The 12,000-square-foot space was designed by Nashville-based firm Advent and was constructed by Burke Special Projects.

The A’s ballpark is being built on the southeast corner of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. Crews have made steady progress on the stadium since a June groundbreaking ceremony, with the deck of what will be the lower concourse already coming into form.

The experience center is only open to those with an appointment. They will be led on a tour of the space by a representative from Legends, the global premium experience firm, who will break down various ticket options, memberships and premium spaces available for purchase. Those on the A’s season ticket priority access list will be contacted in early 2026 to set up an appointment for the experience center, when ticket sales officially launch.

With just over two years left until the ballpark’s planned completion, the experience center will help bridge the gap between now and then and keep the excitement building until the A’s begin playing in Las Vegas in 2028.

“This is one of the more incredible experience centers on behalf of a professional sports team that you’ll ever see,” Fisher said. “Bring your kids, bring your families, bring your grandparents, because we have something here that will appeal to everyone.”
