DES MOINES, Iowa — San Diego State extended the nation’s longest active winning streak in overtime games to nine Tuesday, outlasting Drake 76-73.
The Aztecs (9-3) outscored the Bulldogs 10-7 in the extra period — getting six of those points from the free-throw line — to keep their overtime streak alive.
D.J. Gay was 4-for-5 on 3-point attempts and finished with 18 points for San Diego State. Kelvin Davis hit 5 of 8 3-pointers, finishing with 16 points.
Billy White also had 16 points and Kawhi Leonard added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Aztecs, who overcame an eight-point second-half deficit.
Drake (5-7) was led by Josh Young with 17 points. Craig Stanley added 13, Ryan Wedel had 11 and Adam Templeton 10 for the Bulldogs.
• UCLA 75, Colorado State 63 — At Los Angeles, Nikola Dragovic scored 17 points to help the Bruins (4-7) rally to defeat the Rams (8-4).
UCLA didn’t lead in the second half until Reeves Nelson hit two free throws with 6:21 left. The Bruins went on a 29-9 run after falling behind 54-46 with 11:45 left.
Malcolm Lee added 16 points and Nelson had 15 as all five UCLA starters scored in double figures. Michael Roll, fighting off the flu, and Jerime Anderson each scored 11 points for the Bruins.
Adam Ogide had 14 points and Travis Franklin scored 13 to lead Colorado State.
• Air Force 69, UC Davis 57 — At Air Force Academy, Colo., Tom Fow had a career-high 30 points to lead the Falcons to victory.
Air Force (6-4) put the game away with a 15-6 closing run after the Aggies (3-8) pulled within 54-51 with 4:43 left.
The Falcons trailed by as many as seven points in a seesaw first half but took a 29-27 lead into the locker room on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Mike McLain.
He finished with a career-high 12 points and nine rebounds.
