NBA Summer League begins July 8 with 6 games

The NBA Summer League will begin July 8 with six games including two evening matchups featuring Sacramento vs. Toronto and the Los Angeles Lakers vs. New Orleans, according to the league’s schedule released Tuesday.

The 11-day event, which features NBA rookies and second-year players, returns for the 13th year at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center and adjoining Cox Pavilion.

ESPN will air all 67 games on five different platforms, including the championship game on July 18 on ESPN. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to broadcast 25 games live.

The 24 teams — 23 NBA franchises and a NBA Developmental Select team — will play at least five games apiece. Tickets for all are on sale at NBATickets.com.
