NBA Summer League Day 6 results

Wednesday’s results

Hawks 81, Kings 61 — Taurean Prince had 21 points and nine rebounds, and Edy Tavares had 14 points, nine rebounds and three steals as Atlanta (3-1) kept Sacramento (0-4) winless. The Hawks outscored the Kings 39-24 in the second half.

Heat 81, Pelicans 77 — Briante Weber had a game-high 18 points and four steals and hit two late free throws to send Miami (3-1) by New Orleans (1-3). The former Virginia Commonwealth star was 7-for-12 from the field, and Okaro White added 17 points on 7-for-11 shooting for the Heat. Buddy Hield, the sixth overall pick in this year’s draft, shot 5-for-17 from the field and finished with 16 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Pelicans, who also got 14 points and 12 rebounds from Cheick Diallo.

Timberwolves 80, Spurs 71 — Adreian Payne had 20 points and seven rebounds, and Tyus Jones added 15 points and nine assists for Minnesota (1-3). Kris Dunn, the fifth overall pick in the draft, missed his second straight game for the Timberwolves with a concussion. Jonathon Simmons led San Antonio (2-2) with 19 points.

76ers 108, D-League Select 71 — Shawn Long made 8 of 9 shots and finished with 21 points, and Brandon Paul added 20 points as the short-handed 76ers (1-3) drilled the D-League (2-2). T.J. McConnell added eight points and nine assists for Philadelphia, which played without No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons and former UNLV star Christian Wood. Brandon Fields led the D-League with 15 points.

Cavaliers 98, Celtics 94 — Jordan McRae scored a game-high 32 points, and Kay Felder added 22 as Cleveland (2-2) beat Boston (1-3). The teams were tied at 84 with 3:35 left, and the lead changed five times before the end. Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 25 points and nine rebounds, and Terry Rozier scored 24 points while making 7 of 10 shots from the field and 9 of 9 from the free-throw line.

Jazz 86, Trail Blazers 71 — Tibor Pleiss had 20 points and eight rebounds, and Joel Bolomboy added 14 points and nine rebounds to lead Utah (2-2) past Portland (1-3). Spencer Butterfield and Aaron Craft added 11 points apiece for the Jazz, and Desert Pines High School product Pierre Jackson led the Trail Blazers with 18 points.

Mavericks 81, Bucks 64 — Jonathan Gibson scored 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting for Dallas (2-2), which outscored Milwaukee (1-3) 24-8 in the third quarter to pull away. Jameel Warney had 12 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive glass, as the Mavs outrebounded the Bucks 62-37. Milwaukee shot 30.1 percent from the field (25 of 83) and 14.7 percent on 3-pointers (4 of 27). Thon Maker led the Bucks with 17 points, and former UNLV player Rashad Vaughn struggled, making 4 of 14 shots.

Warriors 80, Rockets 76 — Keifer Sykes scored 17 points and Royce Oneale 15 as the Warriors (2-2) outlasted the Rockets (1-3). Former UNLV guard Patrick McCaw added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists for Golden State, which led 44-34 at halftime. K.J. McDaniels paced Houston with 25 points and nine rebounds.

Star of the day

Jordan McRae led all scorers with 32 points to help the Cavaliers pull out a 98-94 victory over the Celtics. The 6-foot-6-inch shooting guard from Tennessee, a second-round pick of the Spurs in 2014, made 9 of 21 shots (2 of 5 3s) and was 12-for-12 from the free-throw line.
