5 Anillo - Speedball figures to try and pop the gate and not look back; good speed and gate rider in Edwin Maldonado.
1 Anytime Magic - Consistent sort albeit with cheaper up in NoCal; lot of NoCal horses shipped to Los Alamitos because they fit.
Long Shot - 4 Deer Decarchy
Race 2 - 6 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Starter allowance $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Nextdoorneighbor - Has run two good races off the claim 3-back by Robertino Diodoro; high percentage trainer west of the Mississippi.
5 Craving Carats - Chance to be lone early speed if hustled from the gate; Victor Espinoza is capable of riding any kind of horse.
Long Shot - 2 Runaway Wildcat
Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
2 Tizn’t - Logical choice in a very ugly looking race; showed good tactical speed in last in a race full of plodder types.
6 Is This Georgia - Sprinter stretching out could be more forwardly placed with a slower early pace; need not be much to compete.
Long Shot - 1 Zippinaroundtown
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
8 Rolo Tamaci - Remember the character from LA Confidential?; big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano for the money shot.
7 Friday Harbor - Ran well in debut; Mike Harrington got away with a price tag, protected here, but opens up many conditions later.
Long Shot - 6 Fort Cady
Race 5 - 1 mile, Purse $17,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
1 American Pride - Tiny edge in the hardest race on the card; placed to be part of the pick 5 and pick 6, you will have to play deep.
4 El Nino Terrible - Sprinter stretching back out; has tactical speed to sit any kind of trip for Fernando Perez.
Long Shot - 6 Prime Issue
Race 6 - 6 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds
8 Roadbug - FTS from the Bob Baffert barn; working well and should show lots of tote action with Martin Garcia up.
3 Tall and Sweet - FTS from the maestro, Jerry Hollendorfer; working fast and gets Elvis Trujillo to ride.
Long Shot - 7 Ebony Princess
Race 7 - 1 mile, Purse $17,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Sweet Marini - Bob Baffert filly won nicely last time; has speed to either lead from the get go or sit just off the pacesetters.
1 Popalicious - Won from out of the clouds in last; rail post means saving ground under HOF rider Kent Desormeaux.
Long Shot - 4 Magic Lily
Race 8 - 1 mile, Purse $14,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up
3 Dortmund - Has already been hailed as the second coming; this is his first try around 2-turns, but he is freakishly fast.
4 Mr. Z - Has a huge experience edge over the favorite; lost by a paper thin margin in the $1-million Delta Jackpot.
Long Shot - 5 Firing Line
Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
10 Play Maker - Like the rider switch to Iggy Puglisi for the money shot; you’ll know at least he will put this horse into the race.
4 Nevada Time - Morning line favorite takes a huge class drop to face much easier; has top gate rider Tyler Baze for a speed effort.
