Blackwater, Wranglers drill Grizzlies to claim eighth straight victory

Judd Blackwater had two goals to lead the Wranglers to a 5-2 ECHL victory over the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday night in West Valley City, Utah. Blackwater and Mike Madill put the game away with third-period goals for Las Vegas (26-19-5), which won its eighth straight game.

Sean Wiles scored late in the first period, and Blackwater followed early in the second to make it 2-0. Las Vegas’ Eric Lampe sandwiched a goal between two Utah scores, and the Wranglers took a 3-2 lead into the final period.

Blackwater tallied his second goal seven minutes into the third, and Madill scored a power-play goal on an empty net in the final minute.
