CANYON SPRINGS DEFEATS ELDORADO IN BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Ray Esteves had 35 assists Thursday to lead Canyon Springs to a 20-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-12 home win over Eldorado in boys volleyball.

Avant Gates led the Sundevils with 15 kills, and Kameron Taylor had 12 kills and 12 blocks.

At Chaparral, Jonathan Dugan had 13 digs and five kills, and Danny Farias had 12 kills and eight digs as Las Vegas swept the Cowboys, 25-12, 25-22, 25-9.

Colin Pretlow had 13 assists and four digs, and Nathan Ruesch had six kills and four aces for the Wildcats.

At Spring Valley, Joey Franchino had 13 kills and four aces, and Antwan Aguillard had 10 kills and five blocks as the Grizzlies defeated the Chargers, 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.

Chance Comrie had 20 assists for Spring Valley. Jerel Deacon had eight kills and four blocks for Clark.

At Western, Darren Torrie had 27 assists and five kills, and Stetson Ybarra had eight kills to lead Durango over the Warriors, 25-10, 30-28, 29-27.

David Bernard added seven kills for the Trailblazers. Watson Smith had seven kills and two blocks, and Deion Harrell had four kills and two blocks for Western.

At Valley, Hassan Chehab had 27 kills as the Vikings defeated Desert Pines, 25-18, 22-25, 26-28, 25-15, 16-14.

Jim Videaux-Deguila had 37 assists and Alonzo Blount had eight kills for Valley.

At Bonanza, Zach Waldron had 23 assists, and Josh McLain and Joseph White each had 14 kills to lead Sierra Vista past the Bengals, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 32-30.

Kyle Davis had 14 kills, six blocks and three aces for Bonanza.
