Fishing Report

■ LAKE MEAD — Top-water action near Boulder Island has been good. Anglers are catching stripers and catfish in the Vegas Arm area. Lures will catch stripers, and anchovies will catch stripers and catfish. Netting and using live shad as bait always are good choices. The Nevada Department of Wildlife reminds anglers the fishing pier at Boulder Harbor has been moved to Hemenway because of dropping water levels.

■ LAKE MOHAVE — Striper fishing has improved at Cottonwood Cove. Largemouth and smallmouth bass anglers report fair success around coves.

At Willow Beach, trout action continues to be good after the weekly plants on Fridays. But the main attraction continues to be the big striped bass being caught down river on large plugs and swimbaits. Fishing should be fair to good in conjunction with the harvest moon.

■ URBAN PONDS — Fishing has been good following the recent catfish plant. The most preferred methods include bottom fishing with worms, shrimp or stink baits. Bluegill and bass should be active.

■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA — Bass fishing remains good. Trout fishing has been fair to good in the morning and evening.

■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR — Fishing continues to be fair to good for rainbow trout off the dock and dam areas. Tiger trout and rainbows are hitting near the north end of the reservoir.

■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR — Trout fishing has been fair, and bass and crappie fishing have been good.
