FISHING REPORT

■ LAKE MEAD — Few anglers visited the lake over the weekend because of strong winds. Fishing has been fair in the Vegas Wash area using cut anchovies. Anglers fishing off the shore and dock have caught small stripers near Boulder Harbor. Fishing has been good near Stewarts Point down toward the Meat Hole. One angler caught a 24.8-pound striper in that area, and two others caught stripers weighing 9 and 10 pounds.

■ LAKE MOHAVE — Fishing has been fair at Cottonwood Cove. Diligent anglers brought back a few stripers while trolling with plugs and anchovies. Largemouth bass should begin to show signs of spawning. Anglers continue to find fair trout fishing at Willow Beach. The national fish hatchery continues to plant trout every Friday morning.

■ LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS — Trout were planted for the final time on Monday at Floyd Lamb Park, Sunset Park and Hafen Pond in Mesquite. Fishing continues to be good at Sunset Park and Boulder City Veterans Memorial Park, while fishing is only fair at Lorenzi and Floyd Lamb parks.

■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA — Ice is unstable and deteriorating at Adams-McGill, Cold Springs and Haymeadow reservoirs. Anglers can fish the open water on Dacey Reservoir, but fishing has been slow because of runoff and murky water. Due to wet and muddy conditions, four-wheel drive is recommended. Call 775-238-0240.

■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR — Ice is up to 13 inches thick, but it is slushy on top. Fish have been biting orange and green PowerBait and night crawlers with a worm combo.

■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR — Echo is ice-free and filling up with water.
