Las Vegas Bowl tickets among highest priced on secondary market

Tickets to the Las Vegas Bowl are more coveted than you think.

Outside of the New Year’s Six bowl games, the Dec. 19 event has the highest starting ticket price on secondary-market seller StubHub!.

Tickets for the Las Vegas Bowl begin at $175 for an end-zone bleacher seat in section 222 of Sam Boyd Stadium as of 10 a.m. Thursday. It says a lot about the sold-out game between Utah and BYU.

The highest priced Las Vegas Bowl ticket is $3,750 in a VIP lounge. It does include a parking and unlimited food and drinks.

StubHub!’s closest to starting price for any other non-New Year’s Day bowl is the Jan. 1 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1 between Michigan and Florida. That ticket starts at $159.57 and tops out at $2,500, but that bowl has far more tickets available because the Citrus Bowl (60,219 seats) is almost twice as big as Sam Boyd Stadium (35,500).

In fact, the only other bowl games that have starting prices in triple-digits are the College Football Championship at University of Phoenix Stadium ($775), the Rose Bowl ($650), the Orange Bowl/ College Football Semifinal at Sun Life Stadium ($123) and the Sugar Bowl at the Superdome ($120).

Of course, there’s always a bargain out there. Boca Raton Bowl tickets for the Dec. 22 game between Toledo and Temple start at $10.
