A week ago, Basic's baseball team was battling for the top spot in the Southeast Division.
But a loss to Green Valley and a forfeited league game have the Wolves currently in third place.
Basic was forced to forfeit three games, including an 8-7 league win over Silverado on March 26, for using a player who lived outside the school's attendance zone.
In addition to the Silverado game, the Wolves forfeited wins over Bonanza and Desert Pines.
