Harrison sharp for Wolverines

Lee Harrison homered and pitched a five-inning no-hitter to lead Henderson International over Lake Mead 10-0 in the Class 1A Southern League softball tournament in Indian Springs on Friday.

Harrison struck out seven in leading the Wolverines into the title game. They will play Lake Mead at 10 a.m today., with a second game to follow if necessary.

Hailey Schulz was 3-for-3 with a triple, and Pamela Sakuma went 2-for-3.

■ Lake Mead 7, Pahranagat Valley 2 — At Indian Springs, Kailyn Poteat hit a three-run homer to cap a six-run fifth inning as the Eagles eliminated the Panthers.

Jocelyn Cox was 2-for-3 with a double for Lake Mead.

■ Pahranagat Valley 11, Indian Springs 1 — At Indian Springs, Addie Canning threw a one-hitter as the Panthers eliminated the Thunderbirds.


■ Boulder City 7, Virgin Valley 0 — At Mesquite, Dylan Scott pitched a six-hitter to lead the Eagles over the Bulldogs in the Class 3A Southern League.

Boulder City earned a spot in the championship game and will face Virgin Valley again at 10 a.m. A second game will follow at noon if necessary.

■ Virgin Valley 9, Moapa Valley 8 — At Mesquite, Alex Zarndt capped a three-run seventh-inning rally with a two-out RBI single as the Bulldogs ousted the Eagles. Moapa Valley had scored four in the top of the inning for an 8-6 lead.

■ Virgin Valley 16, Moapa Valley 6 — At Mesquite, the Bulldogs scored four runs in the bottom of the first and coasted to a five-inning victory.


■ Lincoln County 3, Needles 0 — At Mountain View, Kori Gloeckner allowed three hits as the Lynx earned a berth in the championship game.

Needles will play White Pine in a elimination game at 10 a.m today with the winner facing Lincoln County at noon.

If Lincoln County loses, a second game will be played at 2 p.m.

The Lynx scored a run in the first and two in the third to back Gloeckner.

Holly Laswell and Alex Chandler had extra-base hits for Needles (25-9).

■ White Pine 9, Calvary Chapel 3 — At Mountain View, Bailey Moore and Megan Stewart had RBI triples to help the Bobcats (18-14) oust the Lions (11-12-1).

Stewart drove in two runs, while Moore, Erin Gonzales, Maaha Kingston and Alley Hall each added one RBI.

■ Lincoln County 6, White Pine 4 — At Mountain View, the Lynx scored five runs in the first two innings and made the lead stand up against White Pine.

K.C. Jensen went the distance for Lincoln County, scattering 10 hits. Kingston had a two-run double to spark the Bobcats (18-14).

■ Needles 8, Calvary Chapel 0 — At Mountain View, Abby Chandler pitched a three-hitter to lead the Mustangs.

The Mustangs had four doubles — two by Amy Bailey and one each by Haley Laswell and Holly Laswell. The three players combined for seven RBIs.
