• ARBOR VIEW -- Girls cross country runner Taylor Inghram placed 17th at the Sunset Region meet to help Arbor View take third and qualify for state. Boys cross country runner Adonis Gaines placed 11th at the Sunset Region meet to qualify for state.

• BASIC -- Football player Robby Faiman threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-28 win over Green Valley.

• BISHOP GORMAN -- Girls cross country runner Maddie Levine placed 15th at the Sunset Region meet to qualify for state.

• CENTENNIAL -- Girls cross country runner Adrielle Wechsler placed third at the Sunset Region meet to help the Bulldogs win the team championship.

• CHEYENNE -- Girls cross country runner Alexa Ayala placed 19th at the Sunset Region meet to qualify for state. Football player Fabriece Marshall had four solo tackles and four assists to help the Desert Shields hold Cimarron-Memorial to seven points.

• CIMARRON-MEMORIAL -- Boys cross country runner Samuel Mayo was Cimarron's top finisher at the Sunset Region meet, placing 24th.

• CORONADO -- Girls cross country runner Kristal Hosaka placed fifth at the Sunrise Region meet, helping the Cougars win the team title. Boys soccer player Jake LeClaire totaled five goals and an assist in two games.

• DEL SOL -- Girls volleyball player Bryana Chavez totaled 23 kills, eight aces and seven digs in two matches. Boys cross country runner Colin Smith placed 12th at the Sunrise Region meet to become the school's first state qualifier.

• DESERT OASIS -- Girls volleyball player Lenzi Cram had eight kills, five blocks and two aces against Boulder City. Football player Elijah Mitchell had five catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner in overtime, against Boulder City.

• DESERT PINES -- Football player Dennis Scott ran for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 14-0 win over Canyon Springs.

• ELDORADO -- Girls cross country runner Claudia Gonzalez placed 10th at the Sunrise Region meet to qualify for state.

• FAITH LUTHERAN -- Girls cross country runner Keely Bakken placed first at the 3A Southern League meet to lead the Crusaders to a first-place team finish.

• FOOTHILL -- Boys cross country runner Chris Perrine placed fourth at the Sunrise Region meet, helping the Falcons to a second-place team finish.

• GREEN VALLEY -- Boys cross country runner Jason Ferraro placed seventh at the Sunrise Region meet, leading the Gators to the team title. Girls volleyball player Siga Appelgate totaled 23 kills, five aces, eight digs and four blocks to lead the Gators to wins over Del Sol and Silverado to capture the Southeast League championship.

• LAS VEGAS -- Boys cross country runner Aaron Adkins placed sixth at the Sunrise Region meet to qualify for state.

• LIBERTY -- Girls cross country runner Joselyn Evans placed seventh at the Sunrise Region meet to qualify for the state meet.

• THE MEADOWS -- Boys cross country runner Kenneth Mang placed fourth at the Class 2A Southern League meet to qualify for state.

• MOUNTAIN VIEW -- Football player Raymond Velarde was 11-for-11 passing for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Velarde also rushed for 94 yards and two TDs. Girls volleyball player Raven Miller had five kills and six blocks for the week.

• PALO VERDE -- Boys soccer player Francisco Rivera totaled two goals and an assist in two victories. Girls volleyball player Ainsley Lovejoy totaled kills, 13 blocks, eight aces and seven digs in three matches.

• SILVERADO -- Girls cross country runner Kerissa Anaya placed 13th at the Sunrise Region meet.

• VALLEY -- Football player Geric Wharton had four carries for 72 yards and a touchdown, caught four passes for 68 yards, had an interception, deflected five passes and logged four tackles in the Vikings' 41-33 victory over Rancho.
