Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $28,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
Timias - Tactical speed to gain a good position from the get go; sliding down the claiming ladder with Gomez.
Boule d'Or - Speedball is also sliding down the claiming ladder; come a long way since winning the San Luis Rey.
Long Shot - Men Only
Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $37,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Pretty Katherine - Was well bet in debut and ran like it; big rider switch to Garrett Gomez for the money shot.
Royal Fortune - Finished right behind Pretty Katherine in their career debuts; from the live Neil Drysdale barn.
Long Shot - Lady Lumberjack
Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $10,000, Claiming $10,000, 3-year-olds
Suit Yourself - Ground saving trip for a big class dropper; key for me is he is reunited with Bejarano.
Going Forward - Many handicappers overlook a horse that won its last race; who's to say he can't repeat.
Long Shot - Drewthegentleman
Race 4 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
Game A.P. - Another sliding down the claiming ladder to this winable level; should sit close to the pace.
Quite the Man - Claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; has good tactical speed to atten the early pace.
Long Shot - Elleptheros
Race 5 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $40,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 2-year-olds
Bourbon Bay - Makes him SoCal debut after a solid second in the Cradle Stakes; Neil Drysdale has had him a month.
Mobilized - Spectacular looking debut with a nearly last to first rally; not sure if he's that good, we'll see.
Long Shot - Skim Scam
Race 6 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds
Norco Pal - Fought hard last time and only surrendered very late; suspect he can move forward off that race.
Sandita - Beaten favorite tries a slightly easier task tonight; key for me is Rafael Bejarano remains loyal.
Long Shot - Summer Shoot
Race 7 - 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $42,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds and up
Easy On The Eye - Solid second down the hill last time; inside post and tactical speed lead to a good trip.
Banner Lodge - Suspect Garrett Gomez can get a cozy trip from the rail; inside posts hold a big advantage.
Long Shot - Kewen
Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Flew First Class - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; like that Gomez stays.
Perfect Vintage - She is getting long in the tooth, but continues to run well; beaten chalk can rebound.
Long Shot - Bella Castagna
Best Bet - Pretty Katherine (race 2)
Hollywood Wednesday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/4/$20.80; Long Shots, 8/0/$0; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
Hollywood Totals - 100/24/$124.60; Long Shots, 48/3/$40.20; Best Bets, 6/3/$10.00
