Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds
Professnl Courtesy – Ground saving trip; Rafael Bejarano had options and decided to ride this colt.
Zetterberg – Tepid chalk in a wide open race; takes a small, but significant, drop in class to win.
Long Shot – Carson’s Copper
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $36,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds
Star Redeemer – John Sadler has an uncoupled entry in here; suspect that one of the two will win.
Leavethegateopen – Favored Sadler entry ridden by Martin Pedroza; showed high cheese in last.
Long Shot – Beauteous Maximus
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $11,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
Saxophone – Exits a win in a NW2L condition claimer; no heroes in here so he could win right back.
Brooker – Tepid chalk exits a horrible effort in last; was claimed by the white hot Ted West, we’ll see.
Long Shot – Satellite
Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $30,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
Nima’s Pad – When Bejarano or Gomez jump on a nondescript runner, you need to look at the horse twice.
Seven Secrets – Sharp win in last and deserves this double jump in class; improving for Jack Carava.
Long Shot – Headache
Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $11,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds
Superfecta – Winner for Ted West who drops him in class; red flag move, but won twice off the claim.
You Is What You Is – Joel Rosario off has been a good handicapping angle; Garrett Gomez sits for one move.
Long Shot – Norco Pal
Race 6 – 1 mile (turf), $100,000 Miesque, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Habaya – Ran a better than looked race in the Jessamine; she still has an incredible high ceiling.
Emmy Darling – Exits a good try in the BC Juvenile Fillies Turf; she faces much easier in this spot.
Long Shot – Internallyflawless
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $14,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 2-year-olds
Indy Olmo – Was well bet last time and showed improvement; should see plenty of cheap early speed.
Bubsy – Tepid chalk ran evenly in an improved effort; may have finally found his comfort level.
Long Shot – Red Jasper
Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles (turf), $400,000 Citation Handicap, 3-year-olds and up
Medici Code – Got a perfect test drive in last off a 8-month hiatus; has more back class than you think.
Whatsthescript – Logical chalk is sure to be way overbet; no doubt his best race would crush these.
Long Shot – Hyperbaric
Race 9 – 7 furlongs, Purse $38,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
Swift Demand – A stride late in last; Garrett Gomez remains loyal, takes care of unfinished business.
Pack Your Bags – Another Rosario off play; has tactical speed, and Bejarano, to attend the early pace.
Long Shot – Major Smoke
Race 10 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
President Elect – Improved a lot in two U.S. races; has tactical speed to attend the early pace.
Warren’s Yodeler – He keeps getting bet, and loses; suspect there’s talent under the surface.
Long Shot – Midnight Corredor
Best Bet – Star Redeemer (race 2)
