Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $39,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Inspiration Within – Like the turn back in distance to this elongated sprint; tactical speed to sit a trip.
Masterful Miss – Tepid chalk in a wide open race; how confident can you be in a filly that is 1-for-17 lifetime.
Long Shot – Unusual Jane
Race 2 – 7 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Forest Phantom – Suspicious red flag drop except Rafael Bejarano takes the call; right there if anything’s left.
Sunshine Ridge – Last win came at this class so the drop is not as suspicious; can be a Gomez-Bejarano duel.
Long Shot – Rogue Scholar
Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $40,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up
Medjool – Ran like a horse in need of a race off a 5-month hiatus; switch to Bejarano for the money shot.
Sir Bell – Tepid chalk in another tough heat; broke thru with a sharp try in last, must not bounce today.
Long Shot – Vulcan
Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $38,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Love to Siphon – Bob Baffert filly will be helped with no temporary rail; tactical speed to sit a trip.
Wicked Delight – Tepid chalk has been away 6-months; from a clever barn, not sure how cranked up she’ll be.
Long Shot – Ellie L
Race 5 – 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 2-year-olds
Atticus Jack – How he wasn’t claimed in last at 3/5 odds is beyond me; fits like a glove in this condition.
Let’spickupthepace – Cruise control win facing easier at Del Mar; tactical speed to get involved early on.
Long Shot – Race Caller Luke
Race 6 – 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $36,000, Claiming $62,500, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Homemade Brew – The inside posts in turf sprints hold a big edge; Brice Blanc will sit cozy and make one run.
Mini Do – Big class drop from stakes for this price tag race; Julio Canani doesn’t give his horses away.
Long Shot – Unusually Hot
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $37,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
Tevez the Tiger – Interesting invader ran slow early, fast late in Keeneland debut; Bejarano takes the call.
Cut the Check – Flattered by the success of Azul Leon; been away 6-months, Solis takes the blinkers off.
Long Shot – Hold Fast
Race 8 – 1 1/8th miles (turf), $65,000 Audrey Skirball-Kenis, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Solar Miss – Reunited with Gomez who got the best rally out of her; she runs best when taken back for one pop.
Miss Singhsix – Tepid chalk in a very difficult heat; the top two choices exit the grade 3 Ramser stakes.
Long Shot – Sensational Love
Race 9 – 7 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 2-year-olds
Colorful Dancer – Typical baby debut, slow early, fast late into stride; improvement for Mike Mitchell.
Capt. Pike – Will hold value because Bejarano takes off, Joe Talamo will ride him; fits in a wide open race.
Long Shot – Urban Cat
Best Bet – Tevez the Tiger (race 7)
