Post Time 2 p.m.

Race 1 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $29,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Jen’s New Chapter – Logical chalk is strictly the one to beat; cold barn drops her from MSW to claiming in search of a win.

Unbridled Penny – Took money last time despite a significant class rise; she’s back with claimers and has a big chance.

Long Shot – Lightmyfirebaby

Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $44,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds

Asteri – Did a classic pop and stop in last in his Polytrack debut; he’s better than that and should be a decent price.

Sunshine Ridge – Was overmatched last time in a first level Inglewood allowance; blinkers come off and a big class drop too.

Long Shot – Lit’sgoodlookngray

Race 3 – 5 furlongs (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $64,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds and up

Brilliant Cut – Frankel colt disappointed badly last time out on Cushion track; should rebound nicely in return to grass.

Iza General – Claimed by shrewd Sadler off a sharp turf claiming win; facing tougher today, but he’s never been better.

Long Shot – Excess Temptations

Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $21,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Urban Doll – She took a lot of money last time and failed miserably; chance to rebound at much higher odds for Quinonez.

Reckoning Day – Tepid chalk may finally be ready to break through since being claimed by O’Neill; should sit a nice trip.

Long Shot – Irish Express

Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $10,000, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up

Seven Nation Army – Mullins will drop to win, like this guy last time; he challenges us again to accept another short price.

Swiss Lad – Couldn’t handle the class rise last time after a sharp win two races back; Knapp likes to drop and win, like this.

Long Shot – Social Satire

Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $32,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Placid Lake – Taking a big class jump from a maiden claiming win to this, but she looked that good; won like a locomotive.

Carly Effect – Flunked as the favorite in last, but you need to be a forgiving handicapper; she was DQ’d from a win two back.

Long Shot – Geri Hears an Echo

Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs, $150,000 Sorrento, Fillies, 2-year-olds

One Hot Wish – She was the most impressive 2-YO winner this spring at Keeneland; been away a while, but she is the one to beat.

Tasha’s Miracle – Sharp win in debut over Cushion track; she cost a lot, is bred to be a good one, don’t mind the wide post.

Long Shot – Set Play

Race 8 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds

General Chicken – FTS by Proud Irish, he attracts the services of young Talamo; you’ll have the edge of seeing the tote board.

Simulcast – Dollase runs a good baby barn and hires a top rider in Nakatani; notice I picked all first time starters in here.

Long Shot – Colorkinetic

Best Bet – Seven Nation Army (race 5)

Del Mar Monday – Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/6/$37.40; Long Shots, 8/1/$9.20; Best Bet, 1/1/$3.00
