Nick Diaz reportedly involved in Las Vegas nightclub scuffle

UFC star Nick Diaz is not legally allowed to compete in a fight as he is technically still under suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission.

There are no rules against self-defense, however.

According to TMZ, Diaz was jumped by four individuals while attending Hyde Nightclub at The Bellagio on Tuesday night.

The report states Diaz bumped into a man outside a bathroom. Though he offered an apology, it was apparently not accepted. The man’s three friends jumped into the fray, but Diaz was able to overtake all four assailants.

Officials for Hyde Nightclub supported Diaz’s claim in a statement to the website. Diaz refused an offer to call police or pursue charges.

Diaz, who allegedly suffered a gash on the top of his head in the scuffle, was in town for his brother Nate’s fight against Conor McGregor on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

Nick Diaz wasn’t allowed to corner Nate because he has not paid the $75,000 fine levied by the NAC or agreed to a schedule for payments.

NAC officials had paperwork in the arena for Diaz to sign if he wanted to corner his brother. He would have had to pay a $25,000 down payment and agreed to further payments.
