Morgan’s fourth quarter lifts Palo Verde

Moses Morgan scored 13 of his game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter as Palo Verde’s boys basketball team pulled out a 66-65 road victory over Valley on Monday night.

Aaron May added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers, who trailed 51-45 entering the fourth quarter.

Valley’s David Michaels compiled 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Deante Jones added 14 points and 23 rebounds for the Vikings.

Canyon Springs 106, Del Sol 69 — At Canyon Springs, Devonte Christopher led four Pioneers in double figures with 22 points.

Deremy Geiger added 18 points and five assists, and teammate Terrance Stanley scored 18 for Canyon Springs. Joe Maglaras paced the Dragons with 15 points.

Foothill 69, Desert Pines 55 — At Foothill, Earl Jones scored 18 points and Ben Green had 17 to carry the Falcons past the Jaguars.

C.J. Myles had 14 points to pace Desert Pines, which hit only 9 of 24 free throws.

Calvary Chapel 66, Beatty 36 — At Calvary Chapel, Jon Fortich had 14 points to lead the Lions over the Hornets.

GIRLS

Desert Pines 53, Foothill 36 — At Foothill, LeBrea Walker scored 13 points to help the Jaguars defeat the Falcons.
