Pair of double-doubles key Valley win

Vanessa Corona had 20 points and 10 rebounds to help Valley upend visiting Eldorado 49-44 on Friday in girls high school basketball.

Rachael Zimmerman added 17 points and 11 rebounds for Valley, which led by one point at halftime.

Tonisha McGee, Jamie Clark and Gianna Lafayette each scored 11 for the Sundevils.

Legacy 75, Arbor View 35 — At Arbor View, Jacky Burton scored 19 points and Breana Watkins 16 to lead the Longhorns’ rout of the Aggies.

Kayla Murray scored 12 and Kindrea Poole 10 for Legacy. Erika Lang led Arbor View with 16 points.

Shadow Ridge 47, Cheyenne 32 — At Cheyenne, the Mustangs rallied from an 11-point deficit after the first quarter to defeat the Desert Shields.

Cheyana Slocum scored 20 points for Shadow Ridge, which limited Cheyenne to 10 points in the second half. LaVetta Glaze had 10 points to lead the Desert Shields.

Coronado 54, Del Sol 16 — At Coronado, Sarah Dexter and Danielle Boyle each scored nine points to pace the Cougars.

Coronado outscored the Dragons 27-5 in the first quarter to take control.

Green Valley 74, Liberty 46 — At Liberty, Sarah Pickus had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Gators.

Green Valley’s Victoria Naylor scored 23 points. Amanda Delgado led the Patriots with 16 points.

Centennial 91, Cimarron-Memorial 45 — At Cimarron, Deanna Daniels scored 29 points to spark the Bulldogs.

Alexis Byrd scored 19 points and Johnna Brown 18 for Centennial.

Catherine Wyre paced the Spartans with 21 points.

Palo Verde 63, Mojave 54 — At Mojave, Hayley Henderson had 23 points, 13 in the fourth quarter, and Mikala Pride scored 20 as the Panthers beat the Rattlers.

Chelsea Hopkins scored 31 for Mojave.

Silverado 31, Foothill 28 — At Silverado, Jessica Schmidt scored 10 of her 18 points in the fourth quarter as the Skyhawks rallied past the Falcons.

Silverado trailed 21-13 after three quarters.

Chaparral 52, Canyon Springs 30 — At Canyon Springs, Desiree Pierce led a balanced attack for the Cowboys with 11 points.

Amanda Mayes scored 10 points for Chaparral.

Sierra Vista 61, Clark 34 — At Clark, Jeanette Jackson scored 18 points and Brianna Tolliver 11 to lead the Lions.

Chantelle Robinson led the Chargers with 18 points.

Bonanza 67, Western 44 — At Bonanza, Christin Figgins had 20 points and 10 assists to lead the Bengals.

Terra Novak scored 18 points for Bonanza, and Asta Galaviz and Laura Nelson each grabbed 13 rebounds.

Derricka Glover paced the Warriors with 21 points.

Rancho 66, Las Vegas 54 — At Las Vegas, Khalia Branch had 20 points and Stephanie Thompson 18 to lead the Rams.

Amber Kelly scored 17 for Las Vegas.

Basic 51, Tech 39 — At Basic, Michaela Thomas had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wolves.

Marquichea Burns had 12 points and 11 rebounds for Basic.

Mechel’la Logan scored 11 to pace the Roadrunners.

Virgin Valley 40, Faith Lutheran 32 — At Faith Lutheran, Courtney Spawn scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs.

Meghann Smith scored 11 for the Crusaders.

Mountain View 60, Trinity 21 — At Mountain View, Randall Van Kempen had 23 points to lead the Saints.

Ellie Markwardt scored 13 and Megan Smith 12 for Mountain View.

Beatty 50, Indian Springs 45 — At Beatty, Autumn Spicer’s 21 points led the Hornets to an overtime victory.
